5 Power Packed Viral Marketing Strategies

How would you like to have other people promoting your website and giving you additional traffic, with little effort on your part? You certainly do, right?

This is called Viral Marketing and here are some proven strategies.

Grant permission to others to reprint your articles on their website, ezine, newsletter, magazine or ebooks. Many publishers and webmasters are constantly on the hunt for fresh content. Write a good article, and many publishers will pick it up and use it for their content. Remember to include a resource box at the bottom of the article that includes your name, URL, and an interesting ad that entices people to click on the link provided. This way, you will get tons of readers clicking on your links.

Allow people to use any of your freebies (that contains back-end links to whichever website you are promoting) as free bonuses for products or services they sell. Freebies (Such as ebooks and software) that are included as bonuses are usually related to the (or complements) main product sold. Buyers will definitely use your freebie and they will definitely click on your links. Remember to put an announcement on the first page saying that your freebie can be freely distributed. Good content is usually passed on to friends and associates, thus creating even more traffic for you.

For example, Harvey Segal has an ebook about making money online using forums. In this ebook, he lets readers know that he has a free tool on his website that enables you to "see how often a topic is raised across a selection of forums" called Forum Tracker. If a reader finds the tool useful, he will recommend this tool to another friend, indirectly promoting Harvey's site, and giving him more traffic.

Allow people to submit their link to your free website directory. Just make sure that they return a link back to your website.

Allow people to place an advertisement in your free ebook if, in exchange they give away, pass on, or endorse that ebook to their web visitors or e-zine subscribers. This is a good idea because nobody likes to promote someone else's products in return for nothing. Allowing people to place an advertisement generates free traffic for both parties. A Win-Win situation.

Use E-signatures. Emails are frequently forwarded. You don't know where they will end up. Your strategically placed e-signature will get you extra visitors, and potential buyers.
