Last summer I wrote the following article about the Traffic Swarm Start Page Rotator:

For most people, getting high-quality, targeted traffic to their website is probably one of the "hardest" things to do ... unfortunately it's also the most important.
The reason it's so difficult for most small businesses and online marketers is that the majority of popular website promotion strategies either take up A LOT of time, cost a lot of money, or are too risky.
Now those of you who read my articles on a regular basis know that it's rare indeed for me to give something my personal endorsement. And believe me, I thought long and hard about writing this article.
Then I realized, I would be remiss in my responsibilities and obligations as a purveyor of information, if I didn't tell you about something that could immediately and dramatically impact your bottom line.
Anyway, here's what happened.
Last Friday, an Internet marketing colleague of mine sent me an e-mail regarding a new traffic generation system. Normally, I promptly delete such nonsense, because it's been my experience that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
However, since the e-mail came from someone I personally know and respect, I decided to try out this new system, over the weekend.
Well, folks! In this instance, I have to admit that I was wrong...dead wrong! This new system really does generate traffic--lots of it--immediately!
Would you believe that this new system is also:
- 100 percent Free! - You don't have to pay a dime--ever - Automated - 5 minutes to set it up, then forget it - Targeted - you'll get only real, targeted traffic - "Viral" - your traffic will increase exponentially
Like I said earlier, "if something sounds too good to be true"... but after personally testing it out, the results have been nothing short of remarkable.
Anyway, if you're looking for FREE, unlimited, targeted and prequalified traffic to your website, week after week, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you check it out for yourself.

Well, that was then and this is now. After many months of disturbingly declining results from TrafficSwarm, I feel that I can no longer recommend it in good conscience.
What's the problem? Well in my humble opinion there are several:
1. There is much more competition for Start Page Rotators. Many new companies have joined the mix meaning that any one Start Page Rotator has fewer page views to offer.
2. Many webmasters are members of several Start Page Rotators, meaning they are seeing the same ads over and over again, across the board.
3. Many people have pop-up blocking on their sites making it increasingly difficult to harvest email addresses using that method.
4. Cheating is very common. Many unscrupulous individuals use software to open hundreds of start pages each day in a variety of Start Page Rotators. Since no one sees the pages, no one buys the products. Also, many individuals sign up for multiple accounts making each page view much less valuable.
Are Start Page Rotators dead? Not yet. But they're no longer worth the effort either.
